Description

On April 14, 1909, thousands of women descended on Springfield to lobby for equal rights. Cinda Klickna will share about the reception hosted by Susan Lawrence Dana at her home for 115 women, the proceedings of the day at the Capitol, and about some of the women who attended, including Jane Addams. 


Cinda Klickna is a retired teacher from District 186 and is a frequent contributor to the Illinois Times, writing about many pieces of Springfield History. She serves on several boards including the Sangamon County Historical Society.
